Bangladesh is one of world's best qualities Tea producing country. It has 158 tea gardens in the hilly regions. Average annual production of tea is 21440,000 kgs and earning stands to above 33.13 million US dollars per annum. Tea is exported in bulk and packet form. Major importers of Bangladesh tea are UAF, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Poland, Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Japan, Spain, Kenya, Brunei, Germany, Netherlands, Kuwait, Greece, Lebanon etc.
